InternCLE podcast Episode: 020 – Lauren Reed – Sixth City Marketing




Lauren Reed studying at Ohio University – incoming Senior – Journalism and Strategic Communication with Minors in Marketing and Retail Fashion.

Sixth City is a boutique digital marketing agency in Rocky River Ohio that has clients across many industries. 

Sixth City found her on LinkedIn, this is her second summer with Sixth City.  Last summer she was the only intern.  Last summer she worked on clients’ social media initiatives. This summer she did similar work for the agency itself.  

Lauren thought she would study business first and she didn’t find her passion there.  She enjoys psychology and writing.  The Journalism and Strategic Communication’s major worked well for her.  

After completing her sophomore year, she wasn’t intentionally looking for an internship.  But once she interviewed, she immediately engaged with the culture at Sixth City.  The environment at the office displayed their laid-back culture, with life sized cut outs of funny characters.  The birthday celebrations around the office are also very creative, playful and fun.   Many of the staff are Ohio University Alumni as well.  Lauren enjoyed the experience and the people enough to return.
